This submission deadline will permit Regional Council to deliberate the adoption of this Amendment on December 16, 2009. A second public meeting will be held to provide the public with an opportunity to make representations with respect to the proposed amendments to the Halton Region Official Plan, 2006, as set out in proposed ROPA 38, pursuant to Section 17 of the Planning Act. The implications of the proposed Regional Official Plan Amendment are region-wide. One of the vehicles struck a hydro pole which brought down live wires and one driver had to be extricated from his vehicle, police said. Injur- ies were not considered serious. Halton Police remained on the scene directing traffic while hydro workers made repairs. The intersection was cleared by 5pm. Collision at 25, 5 brings down wires MSB BBQ and Silent Auction to purchase SMART board for school On Thursday, September 24, MSB Public School will be hold- ing a Lets Get Smart BBQ and Silent Auction in conjunction with its annual Open House to raise money for the purchase of a new interactive teaching tool called a SMART Board, an accompanying laptop computer and a data project- or to complete the set. SMART boards are a modern and fun way for students to learn in the classroom. They have become al- most standard equipment in new schools. They encourage children to participate and create like never before from kindergarten chil- dren learning their A.B.C.s to our grade 8 students preparing for high school. The MSB School Council is ask- ing for public participation in the community auction with a donation of product, service(s) or time that could be auctioned off on Septem- ber 24.
