The sale opens at 8 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. The books are new and most are priced between $5 and $10. Over the years, Fraser Direct has raised over $ 150,000 for local causes. This year, profits will go to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills, the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper program, the Acton Fall Fair/ Soccer Building, Georgetown Hospital, and other local charities. This year there is also a special warehouse clearance of casual clothing (hoodies, casual pants) at ridiculously low prices. Hampers of clothing and toys are available for lower income families in Halton Hills. Applications for this program are available at 36a Armstrong Avenue in Georgetown or 47 Mill Street East in Acton. Sponsors are needed for this program so if your community group, business, church or family would like to provide the clothing and toys for a specific family we would really appreciate your support. Meals on Wheels is a wonderful service in our community, and there is a growing need for volunteers in both Georgetown and Acton. Volunteers are needed to pick up Meals in Milton, and volun- teers are also needed to deliver lunchtime meals.
