Independent & Free Press, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 21 The John Elliott Theatre is looking for musicians to perform at a series of free con- certs in the Cultural Centre Gallery. Starting in January 9, and following on the second Wednesday of the month, the Halton Hills Cultural Centre will be present- ing acoustic concerts in the Gallery. The con- certs will take place at 1 p.m. and run for 45 minutes to one hour. Any artist interested in showcasing their classical or regal jazz repertoire can contact the JET supervisor Jamie Smith, jsmith@hal- tonhills.ca. A sample of their work will be required to be considered for any engage- ment. The deadline for submissions for the January to June series is Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. Assuming that the concerts are popular enough to warrant continuing, submissions for July to December will be received from April 1, 2008 until May 15, 2008. While this concert series is free to the public, there is an honorarium for the per- formers. Once the roster of performers is com- plete, the entire series will be posted on the John Elliott Theatre website at www.halton- hills.ca/theatre. Deadline nears for JET concert series signup
