- Bob had just retired from delivering mail on R.R. 1. Ruth and Bob married on July 15, 1931. Ruth was a long-time, much loved schoolteacher in Halton County.
- Notes
- The Milton Canadian Champion newspaper of October 23, 1958 included Bob in a feature for the celebration of 50 years of mail delivery in the Milton, North Trafalgar area. Bob had a 53 mile delivery route for R.R.1 and R.R.4, serving 270 families in north Trafalgar Township on First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Lines.
