1968 newspaper clipping:

Demise of a One Room School
The little red rural school house at Omagh, constructed in 1876 and vacant for the past several years, will soon be levelled. The 92-year-old solid brick building is located on Five Sideroad, Oakville, just north of Omagh General Store. The white cement marker high above the front door-way indicates the school was a part of school section 6. A rusty old pump, located just to the left of the front entrance gives a hint to the age of the school. Although the days of the one-room school in Halton County were supposedly ended with the closing of Kelso School last June, at least two one-room schools are being used temporarily to house classes while expansion programs are being carried on.
