Daughter of John McLaren and Nancy Cleaver, and second wife of William Cyrus Inglehart
It is said that she designed “Oakhurst” and insisted on plenty of closets because she was tired of living in a log cabin with none.
Memorial Card; Died in Palermo, on Friday morning, February 16, 1912, Eleanor McLaren, beloved wife of WC Inglehart in the 74th year of her age. The Funeral service will be held at her late residence on Monday, the 19th inst, at 2 o’clock. Interment in Palermo Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation” (Herbert Inglehart’s papers)
