- Ida Mary Colton, daughter of George William Colton and Annie Teresa (Cline) Colton. George was the eldest son of Jacob and Mary Ann Colton who farmed at Munn's Corners, Concession 1, Lot. 17.
Ancestry.com shows her birth as April 15, 1888 in East Flamboro Township, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, and her death as being in Saskatchewan in January 1955 but the McCurdy Family website information shows different data: Mary Ida Colton b. 18 Oct 1889 in Bronte, d. 30 Jan 1955 in Ottawa. Both agree that Mary married Robert "Bert" Currie on 22 February 1911 at Oakville, Halton County, Ontario, Canada.
This lovely photograph was probably taken when Mary was about age 18. - Notes
- The Trafalgar Township Historical Society has a very large print chart (with map features) showing the geneology of the Cline family which can be consulted. It was prepared in 1973 by Malcolm Cameron Cline.
The family surname in Trafalgar Township was "Cline" but researchers should also check "Kleyn", "Klein", "Klin", "Cleyne" and other variations. - Subject(s)
