Description
Studio photograph taken in June 1896. George Buckton was a son of George Henry and Emily Hardy of Sheridan. He was first a teacher, then a qualified dentist. His office was on Carlton Street in Toronto, opposite Maple Leaf Gardens. He had a great zest for life, a trip to England in 1900 was a highlight. After retiring, he owned a greenhouse and nursery in Clarkson, Ontario, very near his childhood home in Sheridan, Trafalgar Township.
