- Description
- This frame house was well over 100 years old when it was demolished in 1972 to make way for the widening of Trafalgar Rd. at Derry Rd. In the early days it was an inn. The tree to the left of the porch had been grafted to produce three different kinds of apples.
The house had been on the east side of 7th Line (now Trafalgar Rd.), just north of the intersection with Derry. - Notes
- Agerton, also known as Auburn, was settled about 1869 with the establishment of a blacksmith shop by John Saunders. The inn was constructed in 1877. The area was part of Trafalgar Township at the time.
