Description
This home was originally the manse for the Hornby Presbyterian Church, an unusually large manse for such a small church. When the Methodist, Congregationalist, and some Presbyterian denominations merged to form the United Church of Canada in 1925, the remaining Presbyterian congregation in Hornby became too small to support the expense of maintaining its large manse.
