- RAMAUTARSINGH, Dr. Thompson (Tom) B.A., M.A., M.ED. -- On Friday, February 27, 1998, at Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital, age 71 years, formerly of Waterloo. Beloved husband of Betty, loved father of Jessie and her husband Larry Skoog of Kitchener and Joe Ramautarsingh of Waterloo. Also survived by brother Cecil and many nieces and nephews in Ontario and Trinadad. Tom was active in international, national and local organizations. At his death he served as a member of Wilfred Laurier University's senate and it's Executive Committee, the College of Electors at the U. of T. Council member of the Royal Commonwealth Society (Toronto), as President of Hamilton Superannuated Teachers of Ontario, Chairman of Georgetown Hockey Citation Committee and President of the U. of T's Facility of Education Alumni Association. Tom's greatest legacy will always be the love and support he gave his wife and his children. Visitation was held at Edward R. Good Funeral Home in Waterloo. A memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held in Georgetown at a later date. Date and place will be published.
