To those donors who have already given, we would like to say thank you for helping us build a stronger and healthier commu- nity. When all is said and done, each of you will have helped United Way and its agencies assist thou- sands of people in Oakville who needed a safe haven, a compas- sionate ear or just a helping hand and thankfully they found it at a United Way agency. For those of you who havent given, but are still considering it, perhaps youre wondering how can my donation make a differ- ence? Consider this: $25 will provide five children in need with a nutritious break- fast, lunch or snack at their school. $100 will provide two seniors suffering from dementia and other illnesses with therapeutic programs. $300 donation will provide 26 people suffering from depression, attempted suicide, loneliness and other issues with support through a telephone crisis line. $750 donation will provide a senior with home delivery of hot lunches and/or frozen meals, planned by a dietician, for a year. Your support helps us ensure that we continue to meet the crit- ical needs of our community. So when someone a friend, a family member or a co-worker is facing one of lifes more seri- ous challenges, they will have somewhere to turn. Help us reach our goal.
