Once again, Robyn Bowman, owner and director of the studio is hosting her studios annual Holiday Pajama Drive for the Halton Childrens Aid Foundation. Its on now and will continue to accept donations of new pjs until Saturday, Dec. 18. This year, the effort is being joined by Grace Academy of Dance and Performing Arts so that studio will also be a drop-off loca- tion. Every Christmas Eve, there is a tradition in our home that each child is able to open one present before bedtime. That one pres- ent is always miraculously a brand new pair of cozy pjs. My children love the excitement of putting on that new fuzzy pair of pjs and hustling off to bed dreaming of Christmas morning. We wanted to extend our tradition on to other children in our community who might not have the opportunity to feel the same warmth and security. This is how our Pajama Drive began, explained Bowman in a press release. Oakvilles Circle of Harmony Chorus is inviting everyone to celebrate the Christmas season with a bit of music. The choir is performing a pair of concerts, titled Tis the Season, on Saturday, Nov. 27 at Clearview Christian Reformed Church. The group has been entertaining audi- ences with its a capella music for the past 12 years. This concert will include a few guest artists. They are Robin Benedict a young singer- songwriter from Hamilton and the En Route quartet. Tickets are $20 for adults or $12 for sen- iors and children aged 12 and under. For tickets, call Louise at 905-339-2497. For more information, visit www.circle- ofharmony.ca. Last year, Creating Space Yoga Studio extended the tradition to its yoga communi- ty and collected 65 pairs of new pajamas for the Halton Childrens Aid Foundation. They were thrilled when I dropped off the bags and bags of pjs to the Foundation office. They began making preparations to deliver all the pajamas to the children in their care before the holidays. They were very excited and grateful to hear that we were doing it again this year, said Bowman. There has been a special request from the Foundation, too, for sizes appropriate for 10-18 year olds. The studio will be accepting donations until Dec. 18. Creating Space Yoga Studio is located at 594 Chartwell Rd. For more information, contact 905-337- 3598 or www.creatingspaceyoga.ca.
