Please LIVE UNITED this year and donate to United Way of Oakville, said Barbara Burton, UWO CEO. We need your support to ensure our agencies have the resources they need to help the people in Oakville who need it isolated seniors, children who go to school hungry, and individuals strug- gling with lifes challenges. Last year, UWOs agencies supported 30,000 people here in Oakville. Mary Park, UWO campaign director, said its easy to get involved. We can help local organizations run a United Way awareness day in only 1 day; its that easy and we will help you every step of the way, said Park. United Way also continues to work with workplace campaigns that are cur- rently running to try and raise extra dol- lars. For individuals, United Way is asking that they either become a first time donor, or consider increasing their dona- tion if theyve given in the past. Donations can go a long way to helping people in need in Oakville.
