The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Hall located at 1225 Trafalgar Rd. The summit will provide the public with an opportunity to listen to speakers and visit with vendors from the green building industry, including alternative energy professionals, green developers and green roof specialists. Weve made great strides in making Oakville the most livable town in Canada especially when it comes to preserving and enhancing our environment, Mayor Rob Burton said. Charlie McConnell, manager, Current Planning and Urban Design, Town of Oakville on New Communities of Oakville and the Sustainability Checklist. Anthony Santilli, vice president, corporate and residential sales and marketing, Bullfrog Power on green energy purchasing, poli- cies and case studies. Catherine Marshall, vice president, Greenbilt Homes, and director of the Canadian Green Building Council, GTA Chapter on Greenbilt homes and residential green homes. Lisa Seiler, executive director of the Halton Environmental Network on Solar installations in homes and the Halton Solar Residential Program. Chris Magwood, Camel's Back Construction creator, and professor of sustainable building design and construction at Sir Sandford Fleming College on straw bale construction. Sean McCullum, consultant-public sector solutions, Tremco Ltd. on the implementa- tion of green roofs, white roofs, and large- scale solar installations.
