Oh Christmas Tree! 11 W ednesday , D ecem ber 1, 2010 O A KVILLE BEA V ER w w w .o akvillebeaver .co m asked to please leash their dog(s), the response from a dog owner might be polite with an apology, sometimes a refusal, but all too often rudeness and foul language. Some dog owners break the law with impunity. I have never seen a parks by-law officer, let alone one issuing a ticket. Oakville should perhaps consider the revenue which could be generat- ed by having more bylaw officers around to issue tickets to errant dog owners. Please keep your wonderful pets leashed in all town parks and trails, which are not designated leash-free. Your loving pooch can be unpre- dictable and can pose a danger for people, especially little ones. Its simply not worth the risk. Also with pets on a leash, own- ers will know where to look for their pets droppings and remove them. YVONNE M.
