The concerts will take place at St. Johns United Church on Friday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. Music will include the Christmas Waltz by Sammy Cahn, Irving Berlins Christmas (medley), Jingle Bells (jazz version), Ave Maria, Linus and Lucy, Old Brenton Carol, Shepherds Echo Carol, Carol of the Bagpipers and more. The show will also include two groups: 4 Over 40 and the Tempus Chamber Choir. The choir was formed by Brian Turnbull in 1999 and has since grown to a 90-voice group. The choir has won awards from festivals in New Orleans, Boston and locally in Ontario and has sung with other well- known choirs. Concert tickets are $15. Blakelock High School are putting on a theatre production about a class, much like their own, preparing to put on a play. Cue the Scream will be staged Thursday, Dec. 2 in the schools theatre. It is about the struggles of a high school class preparing to put on a play and their darkest fears. The show is directed by the schools Grade 11 drama teacher and lighting and sound will be operat- ed by Grade 12 students Emily Nash and Eastman Welsford.
