B i t t e n w a s b o r n Edith Sorensen in Skive, Denmark, the y o u n g e s t o f f i v e , a n d m o v e d t o England where she marr ied her f i rst husband, who she had met just after the War in Denmark, and with whom she had a son. She later moved to Brighton, where she met and married Edward (Ted) Kimber, and they moved to Canada in 1970. They eventual ly sett led in Burl ington, where she and Ted lived for the last 25 years. Bitten was outgoing by nature, made friends easi ly, and once met was not easi ly f o r g o t t e n . T h e s e c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s he lped her in vo lun teer work , w i th Te leTouch, and Hagersv i l le hospi ta l , w h e r e s h e m e t a n d h e l p e d m a n y people. She always had an opinion, and was willing to share it. She had a spec i a l knack fo r t a l k ing to young people, and those talks will be missed by her only grandchild, Jonathan. She w i l l b e so re l y m i ssed by Ted , he r husband of 45 years, by two sisters and nephews and nieces in Denmark, some o f whom have v i s i t ed he r i n Canada, her only son and daughter-in- law Allan Clark and Wendy King, and grandson Jonathan.
