A guidance document will be reviewed at the workshop, followed by a question and answer period. Guidance documents for Section 4 are available on the towns website at oakville.ca/healthairqualitybylaw.htm, as well as background information and presentations. Please pre-register for the workshop by emailing healthprotection@oakville.ca Facilities that fit under the Town of Oakvilles Health Protection Air Quality By-law 2010-035, are required to submit a report to the town on their fine particulate matter (PM) and health-risk air pollutant emissions by February 1, 2011. There is better representation of all members of council and the workload is more evenly distrib- uted. Im very pleased and look- ing forward to the next year of getting back into the committee cycle again. It was kind of lacking for the last few years, said Knoll. I hope this is a sign of good things to come. Im going to remain cautiously optimistic that maybe some of that stuff that went on last term was first term power politics and maybe every- body has learned those words about working together should actually be carried out and not just spoken. For newly-elected Ward 3 Town Councillor Dave Gittings and Ward 2 Town Councillor Pam Damoff, the evening marked not only their swearing in, but the completion of their very first council meeting. Damoff could be seen wiping away tears as she and all other councillors took the oath of office. I was very emotional, as you could tell, but this was very excit- ing, she said. Its a real honour to be up there and Im looking forward to the next four years. Gittings echoed these senti- ments. We worked all through the election to be sitting up there, he said.
