Submitted by the United Way of Oakville Dolphin sales at TELUS to boost literacy TELUS Oakville Place is support- ing the Oakville Literacy Council with a Charity Day Saturday, Dec. 11. The event will give literacy council volunteers an opportunity to speak to TELUS customers about local efforts to improve adult literacy and to help increase sales of stuffed dolphins to support the cause. The event will run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The staff at TELUS in Oakville Place selected Oakville Literacy Council to receive the proceeds from the TELUS "Critter" sales this holiday season. This year's critter is a dolphin, which sells for $8.99 (or two for $15.99). They are available until Christmas.
