Combined with volunteers from the Salvation Army and Denny's staff members, we are honoured to host such an event and are sure it is to be a joyous holiday season, said Dan Soma, one of the Dennys Oakvilles owners. We hope this event is successful, as we also hope it may possibly be something we do on an annual basis, said Renata Marchione, of Dennys. All of our staff and managers that day will be donating their time for this event, as of right now, between the Oakville Denny's and our Mississauga Denny's, we have over 15 people signed up to volunteer that evening for our event. The Salvation Army will also be sending some of its volunteers. And it doesnt stop there. According to Marchione, the Oakville Dennys joined those in Mississauga and Whitby in holding a Salvation Army Food Drive from Dec. 13-19. Marchione said food collected in each community will go to the Salvation Army in each community. Collections will all be held at our indi- vidual stores for the Salvation Armies of our areas. Incorporated into the food drive, the Oakville Dennys also conducted a Toys for Tots collection for the sick children at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) last week.
