Sixteen School (S.S. #16) and Scholars, 1916.

The "Sixteen Hollow Schoolhouse" is recognized by the Town of Oakville on the Register of Properties of Cultural Heritage Value or Interest (Not Designated) as having "potential cultural heritage value for its historic rural one-room brick schoolhouse".
Notes
The dark-haired girl on the left of the teacher in the back row, with buttons running from her waist to her shoulder, is Hazel Vera Cullingworth at age 13. Hazel was born and lived with her family on the Jemima Biggar farm just over the Sixteen Mile Creek to the east, north side of "the Dundas highway".
Inscriptions
Handwritten on the photo album page: below the schoolhouse photograph is written, "Sixteen School", below the lower page photo of the scholars is handwritten, "Scholars of the Sixteen School in 1916".
