A new local campaign to abolish nuclear weapons will be launched at the 24th annual Oakville Concert for Peace, said Mervyn Russell, OCCPEHR chair. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the Oakville Town Hall located at 1225 Trafalgar Rd. Nuclear weap- ons remain the greatest threat to humanity and the environment. At this free public meeting, Oakville citizens will join with people from around the world to call for a world without nuclear weapons, said Russell in a release announcing the campaigns launch.
