Lov ing husband, fa ther and grandfather, Russ was personable, cheery and opt imist ic. He was born and raised in Toronto and was a jack of all trades with a talent for sales. Russ trained as a watchmaker and had polio from a very early age, but that never held him down . He worked f o r a number o f f i rms du r i ng h i s c a r ee r and i s bes t remembered as the propr ie tor o f a fami ly- run bus iness , The Toy Chest in downtown Oakv i l l e wh ich he ran for t en years w i th h is w i fe Mar ion who predeceased him in 2005. He took an active interest and part icipation in the community through the White Oaks Choral Society, the Boy Scouts, taught ESL and always stayed on top of current events and the news of the day. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Colleen and sons Bruce and his wife Marilyn, and Robert and his wife Tanit.
