KAY, Garnet William -- After a brief illness at home on Wednesday, June 30, 1999. Garnet Kay, dearly loved husband of Jean of Rockwood. Loving father of Calvin and his wife Irene of Rockwood, Jeanette and her husband Art Hewes of Limehouse, James Kay of Kitchener and Patricia and her husband David Sippel of Guelph. Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Garnet is survived by his brother Harvey of Vancouver, BC, and sisters Evelyn also of Vancouver and Pearl of Edmonton, Alberta and their families. Predeceased by brothers Roy, Laurie and Clarence and sisters Gertie and Flossie. Garnet was an accomplished fiddler and musician. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Friends were received at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Acton, Ontario on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a funeral service was held at 2 o'clock no Monday, July 5, 1999. Interment Rockwood Cemetery.- Media Type
