- Frederick Walsh, 1894-1916. Gunner Walsh was killed in action on October 27, 1916, during the Battle of the Somme. He was awarded the Military Medal. He was buried at Bapaume Post Military Cemetery in France. A stained glass window in St. Paul's United Church, Milton, honours his memory. For further information see "Milton remembers World War I"
