COOK, Michael John Russell The family of Michael Cook is deeply s addened t o announce h i s sudden and unexpected pass ing on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the age of 53 a t t he Oakv i l l e Tr a f a l ga r Memor i a l Hospi ta l . Michae l leaves beh ind h is l o v i n g w i f e , K e r r y ( N e e B u s h ) , daughter Jordan and son Barrett . He is also survived by his mother, Helaine Cook of Burlington and his sisters and t h e i r h u s b a n d s , K a t h r y n a n d M i k e O ' R o u r k e o f M a r k d a l e , L e s l e y a n d P e t e r K r a u s o f M i d h u r s t . H e w a s predeceased by his father Alan. Mike w i l l a l so be deep l y m issed by h i s lifelong friend Rick Winnik and his wife Mary of Oakville. He will also be sadly mourned by his mother-in-law Dorothy Bush and his sisters-in-law and their husbands, Les l ie Bush-Harr iss , K im a n d H a l G o u l d , L i n d s e y a n d N i c k Dragone and his many loving nieces and nephews. Michae l was born in S t evenage , Eng l and , bu t moved to Toronto at a young age and attended St. Michael's College School where he was a valued member of the footbal l team. After his post-secondary years, Michael was a well-respected member of the printing and paper industry and w a s S a l e s M a n a g e r w i t h B u n t i n Reid/Domtar paper in Mississauga. He was a devo ted husband and f a the r and it was one of the highlights of his life to recently witness the graduation of both his children from university and the launching of their careers. He was a passionate gol fer and enjoyed few things more than a round in Niagara with his friend Rick followed by a good meal with their wives rounding out the foursome. Visitation will be held at the G l e n O a k s M e m o r i a l C h a p e l a n d Recept ion Cent re , 3164 Nin th L ine , Oakvil le (at Dundas) from Wednesday 6 - 9 p m . F u n e r a l S e r v i c e T h u r s d a y, November 25, 2010 in the chapel at 11:00am. If you wish, donations may be made i n M i ke ' s memor y t o S t .
