CHIASSON, Joseph Luc May 18th, 1935 - April 8th, 2007 Joseph Luc Chiasson, in his 71st year, died peacefully at the Peel Memorial Hospital, early morning of April 8th, 2007, Easter morning. He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Blanche (Vingeau), and their adopted son Kenneth. He is also survived by his brothers Roland (Elizabeth) of Sydney, N.S., Marcel (Margaret) of Mississauga and Leonard (Ellen) of Oakville. He was predeceased in 1986 by a sister Lucy Yvonne of Toronto and both of his parents Lubie and Mary-Rose of Cheticamp, N.S. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Joe was born in Cheticamp, N.S. and came to Ontario in 1957. He worked at Chubb - Molson/Taylor in Brampton as a painter for 23 years until the plant moved to Barrie in 1983. He has resided in Georgetown since 1966 until his poor health with diabetes placed Joe at Holland Christian Homes, Faith Manor in November 2004. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Counsel 6026, 4th Degree - Father Morgan Assembly and the Catholic Church of Georgetown, Holy Cross. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers in the chapel at 8:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 224 Maple Avenue, Georgetown on Thursday April 12th, 2007 at 10:00 am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
