Time out at Tim'sPHOTOS BY ERIC RIEHL / OAKVILLE BEAVERFOR COMMUNITY CLEANUP...:The roads around the Tim Hortons Oakville head office are a lot cleaner thanks to the work of Tim Hortons' corporate employees, who pitched in and picked uplitter along Wyecroft Road between Dorval Drive and Kerr Street Thursday. More than 500 Tim Hortons corporate employees from regional offices in both Canada and the U.S. volunteered their lunchhour to support this annual corporate clean-up event. At last year's event, hundreds of bags of garbage and recyclables were collected from neighbourhoods and roadsides. Above from left, Tim Hortons'Environmental Affairs employee Lisa Stopay (top) poses with a shudder that was picked up; David Lee (below) carries pieces of wood he cleaned up. At top, Lesley Owen poses with her team's pile of garbage while Anna Heimpel carries in more garbage and, below, Matt Rourke holds up a tire he cleaned up from the street. Jesse Larocque pitches a tire for clean up and Barb Leduc has some funwheeling Sarah Beer around in a wheelbarrow.www.insideHALTON.com OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, April 15, 2011 36
