respiration relativity of trail horses Mrs Milner compared the stamina of the long distance trail horses to the long distant Olympic runners about whom she said Of all the 22 athletic sports competitors in the world events the long distant runner rinks number one as far conditioning is concerned and his pulse and respiration count and rate of recovery shows an endurance similarity to the long distance trail horse It was of interesting note that Mrs Milner further mentioned that in the Olympic competitions the riders of horses in equestrian events ranked as requiring the lowest
