Tha Acton Wednesday April Travelling art show coming to Acton Art 70 a travelling exhibition of student art will be held at Bennett School May and from to m and 7 to 10 m The show is sponsored by County Board of Education The show is comprised of 150 paintings created by Halton County students from kindergarten to grade 13 level Over paintings were sent in and those which arc not used in the display will be returned to the owner art coordinator Ed Thorndykc and art consultants Bob Bateman and John Battersby selected the best pictures and mounted them for display last Friday Their workshop was a vacant room at MUton District High School A colored frame from ait board is glued to the paintings with a spray on glue to the work more eye appealing for exhibition I would much rather have a entered bear the name of the student his age school title media and technique where applicable Pictures are then classified according to age and grade groups and the best ones are selected from these Georgetown for two days for five days and Burlington for four days Exhibits range from oil painting water colors paste and to general ink and pencil drawings Joe 18th Ottawa delegate plan reunion in May Acton High school delegate to tho Rotary sponsored Adventure in Citienslup this spring will be grade 12 student Joe The old musician and good academic student was chosen by the stall to represent the school He leaves Sunday May 10 and will be in Ottawa with delegates from all over Canada until May 14 This is the 20th year for the Adventure in Citizenship program and Joe is Acton Rotary clubs 18th delegate They missed the first year and In Ottawa Ihis year there will be special events and any past delegates arc invited to attend Local Rotarians arc taking note and arc planning invite all their 17 past represent along with Joe to their dinner meeting on May Joe will just be back from Ottawa then and ready to report on his experiences to the men of he club Ted Hansen is having an
