The Acton Free Press Wednesday March 31 Legion bantams cop tourna Acton Legion bantams battled back from a 10 deficit at the end of the second period to knock off Streetsville and bring Acton its first Four Town tournament championship since 1967 here Saturday night before a crowd of close to cheering supporters Acton reached the final with a convincing fro morning win against Georgetown Streetsville teams competing in the tourney for the first time captured two titles while Georgetown which won all four last year managed to go home with only one trophy the midget championship Streetsville novices edged in overtime then topped a stubborn Acton outfit 42 in the final game Streetsville took their crown In a cakewaUc trouncing Georgetown in a morning game and bombing OrangevUle in the final edged Georgetown to win the novice con solation title while Georgetown whitewashed Acton 110 in the consolation title game and bantams blanked Georgetown in the bantam consolation game After a scoreless first in the bantam championship game Mike Cormier took a pass from Rod Crawford and beat Acton goalie Terry Webster on the short side for Streetsvilles only goal
