program at school The Centennial School bubbled last Friday night and the auditorium bulged to capacity as parents grandparents neigh friends and villagers crowded in to see the Centennial Christmas Variety Show Even the hallways were bustling with excitement and fun evening where all children had the opportunity to enjoy the delight of being part of and participating in a combined school project before a live audience of enthusiastic spec tators Also memorable of Christmas at the Centennial School were the unique decorations which invited wishing all the of an old mid uk with long lasting Dr Robert DOS and Staff as class after class completed their performance to be quietly whisked to home rooms for costume changing and leisure occupation while they waited for parents watching the With bright numbers gay numbers all Christmassy and merry music predominated throughout the evening display of schooltime talent The audience chuckled loudly at the comic acting as a makebelieve band banged out The Puppy Lave Song while four students mimed in the doggy noises En Iran cab Room 11 students presented a which was exceptionally well done and even many of the vounger children In the audience were able to understand its significance although spoken in French Playlets based on the Christmas Carol and the Nativity gymnastic demonstrations acrobatics and Christmas carols with audience participation all combined to make Friday show a memorable part of Christmas a rural community Highlight of the evening was the performance of the school choir under the outstanding of Mrs
