compliment when they said Teacher we know you are true and teach the way of God truthfully The word teacher or master or Rabbi is used fifty times in the gospel Jesus loved to read and discourse about the lesson in the synagogue After opposition built up against Him He wasn t invited to speak His alternative was to go out on the roadside and teach Everything He said had to be permanently memorable He used epigrams pointed such as He who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God A paradox seemingly absurd though well founded The beatitudes contradicted all known standards Jesus also meant to be taken literally An example of this is If your eye pluck it out and throw it from you Jesus teaching from take 14 about hating ones father and mother is not to be taken literally A cult which was started in California in known as the Jesus Movement is now in and Toronto It teaches children to hate their parents Jesus never intended his teachings to be used a gospel of hate A garage in has been converted to be used to teach children to hate Jesus used humor How can you see to pull out the mote from your brother eye unless you first remove the plank from jour own eye Jesus used parables because it a hard to think in the abstract He is the greatest living parable We see God Illustrated in the living Jesus SilverWood executive convention news G Burt
