to John Scott Wilson and Ellen MiKenzle Margaret spent her life span in the area Leaving school she trained as a seamstress in the days when she went From home to home sewing for all the family and it was an art she carried on In spare time for many years Today there are many homes here her delicate and charming needlework form a part of the adornment In Margaret Wilson married Thomas George Hanna who preceded her in and the only child of the union la left to mourn the loss of loving parents Mrs was a quiet home- loving woman always ready to help a neighbor or friend if need arose For many years she was most active In Women Institute work and was the groups treasurer During world war one she one of the most ardent workers knitting hundreds of garments and sewing for the troops as well as being treasurer of the local Red Cross group and in charge of ordering supplies Less active because of health conditions she carried a lesser burden during the second world war but her fingers and knitting needles were always busy The Sunday School was her concern Having been treasurer and in charge of ordering supplies in the Presbyterian Church she carried on into the United Church of Canada and resigned as treasurer only at the close of 1971 As long as health permitted she never missed the Sunday morning services and It was her regret when her health no longer permitted her to go The last years of the life of this unassuming lady were spent quietly in the home she had loved since a child and time passed peacefully as she meditated reminisced and continued to do beautiful needlework until she was finally stricken and God called her home Contributed t was Cub and Scout nightout it Sunday when and scouts crammed into five cars driven by leaders of the Rock wood troops to
