Karla Anderson of Milton became the bride of William George Mlcheal Timber of Acton Rev Foster rector of Grace Church conducted the ceremony assisted by the Rev Powell of Medicine Lodge Kansas a former rector of the Milton church and a friend of the brides family The bride Is the daughter of Mrs J Anderson of Victoria St Milton and an at Milton District Hospital The groom an employee of DuBerin Materials ana Construction Is the son of Mr and Mrs Ken Timbers of Hamilton formerly of A- Churchill Given by Given In marriage by her uncle and Godfather Kitchener the bride wore a full length A line gown of white nylon with pink trim A crown type headdress held the threetiered veil which acted as a train Her floweni were a cascade of two dozen pink roses with and babys breath Maid of honor was Anderson of MUton sister of the bride Bridesmaids were the grooms sister Karen Timbers of Hamilton and two friends of the bride Diane Thomson of Milton and Mary Grace Donne of Flower girl was four- yearold Kelly Betteley of Kitchener the brides cousin Craig Timbers of Hamilton brother of the groom was the best man Ushers were the grooms brother Brent Timbers Hamilton and two friends Doug of MUton and Lock- wood of Milton Ring bearer was sixyearold Robbie Betteley cousin of the bride from Kitchener The girls wore formal dresses of flocked organia In soft pink and carried baskets roses and white daisies They wore Qoppy brimmed pink hats The grooms attendants wore black tuxedos and white carnations Old I The bride wore something old new borrowed and blue She borrowed a 185yearold IS karat gold broach with three diamonds from the grooms grandmother Her something new was the wedding gown and she wore a blue garter Four generations of the grooms family were present at the weddingMrs Jean Nugent of the groom Mrs Elizabeth Timbers his grandmother and Ken Timbers his father A reception was held that evening at Community Centre About guests attended the dinner and were present for the dance Mrs Anderson the brides mother wore a pale blue floor length crepe gown with white accessories and a white orchid The grooms mother Mrs Timbers wore a pale daffodil dress of satin backed crepe with a matching rachel knit coat white accessories and white gardenias Tables in the hall were decorated with three dozen colored carnations In crystal bud vases Entertainment at the dance was provided by a local group The Knight Train The first dance of the evening was the brides favorite song More Leaving on a honeymoon trip through Eastern Ontario and the OttawaHull area through Michi gan Wisconsin and Minnesota to Winnipeg taking a northern route to Reglna Saskatoon and Edmonton They also took in the museums at North Battleford and a rodeo at Alberta return ing home by Calgary and the Trans Canada Highway They Journeyed to the too brewery gardens and aquarium and horsemens hall of fame at Calgary After returning home they went to their cottage at for a week to brightly and Ive been able to laze around somewhat and think Ive been learning little bits and pieces from these hikers and am quite intrigued with their conversations They seem to spend much of their spare time discussing trails ridges elevations chimneys and peaks what territory theyve covered and what they intend to tackle nest Sony awakening Yesterday I woke to a brilliant sunny morning incidentally one of the things I Teamed was how to make a bed that made me feel enough to try a short easy they said to elevation feet That easy was a slope that brought us tenderfeet to When I came down from the lake it was in a much faster manner than the ascent and the sight of Pharoah Creek below brought an idea to mind On reaching It Instead of walking the quarter mile up to the log crossing I took off my boots socks watch and belt carried them to the other side then returned to the middle where I and gasping stop every 30 held my nose and submerged for feet or so five seconds or so But the view at the top was Its like that Joke about hitting spectacular The lake held in the your head against the wall curve of Pharoah Peaks was still because It feels so good when you partly covered by ice and snow stop When Id clambered out of lay in large patches all along the the icecold water Into the warm south shore a shore made sun Ifelt great Of course I had entirely of huge rocks I found a flat boulder about eight feet square climbed up on top of it and stretched out for an hour or so watching the budding larch trees against the sky ana change my soppy clothes but I tingled for hours The other high points of the past few days have been eating freshly caught brook trout for breakfast brushing my teeth out by her mother Mrs wardlaw of and Mrs A Near and Mrs J C Dennis both of Acton enjoyed a lovely motor trip to Saskat chewan They visited friends In North Sask and travelled to Brandon to visit Mr and Mrs DroulUard who were patients In Brandon Hospital following a car accident also visiting with Rev and Mrs Hyde at Carlylc While there they attended his first service In his charge the Manor United Church on August From there visiting places of interest at Bolssevaln Manitoba and on to visit Mrs McDonalds daughter Marjory Mr and Mrs Elliott and family and then to visit her other daughter Evelyn Mr and Mrs E E Storey and family In Orlllia then on to Acton McDonald has moved from her home on the Fourth line and Is comfortably settled In her new apartment on Church St in Acton Anniversary The family of Mr and Mrs arrived His horse had fallen and rolled right over the top home last Friday evening Mr and Mrs Clarence Denny Joyces parents met them at Toronto Union Station Joyce spent five weeks near Ottawa and the first two weeks Janice Swackhamer joined her teaching Bible vacation school at a family camp of mothers and children at M The next three weeks Debbie Swackhamer Joined Joyce and they were at another camp for two weeks at Munster The last camping place was at Ashton for a week They taught at each camp and enjoyed It very much Joyce who says I love it All the camps were close to Ottawa Mrs J McDonald attended the funeral of her grand niece Lena David and Jullanne recently enjoyed a motor trip along the Blue Water Highway accompanied by friends Miss Muriel McCutcheon Acton and Michael and Rosemary of Norfolk England They visited points of scenic and historic interest near Southamp ton Midland and Parry Sound winding up at North Bay where Norman flew to Join ihcm They visited there with his parents Mr and Mrs G Turner and report Mrs Turner is home from hospital and gradually gaining each day Support preservation of the old Bruce St School in Milton continues to grow Halton County Council endorsed the move Wednesday at their meeting Introducing the resolution Burlington Deputy Reeve Dave Coons suggested the first stone school in the county was historically and architecturally worth preserving The move to have the school preserved and the demolition prevented was Initiated by Vern ConncU a Burlington trustee on the county Board of Education He suggested the school could be modernized inside and used for a government toe afternoon They must have have it over the Riders While the had a terrific feeling of latler goes out in one group the Hikers split up into small groups Meets spry gent each with an experienced leader One thing forward to and bead out different direc tions Anyone whod like a bit of solitude just has to let the leader know then drop off figuratively not was meeting BUI 12 years old or so one
