Halton Institute winners District Institute scholarship and bursary committee this week is pleased to announce the names of the winners of their student Miss Sheila daughter of Mr and Mrs Leo Jamieson receives the Dr Ethel Chapman Scholarship of She has completed Grade at Acton District High School where she received previous awards for excellence In Home Economics Biology and Business Organization and Management and as well she received excellent marks In this years final report She has 13 Homemaklng clubs to her credit and was a delegate to the 4H Girls Conference In Guelph Sheila enjoys sewing and preparing food for entertaining She has been active In United Church and for the post two years has been this particular kind of assistance Ontario Scholar Winner of the District Womens Institute Bursary is Susan Van Sickle daughter of Mr and Mrs Van Sickle Susan too has been a very accomplished girl and a particularly clever student being chosen an Ontario scholar Shells Brown Owl for Brownie pack there She Is now enrolled In the two year Respiratory Technology course at the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology and begins her studies In October This special training will prepare her to work with patients requiring Susan Van Sickle this year as she completed Grade 13 at Milton District High School Here she has taken part In various activities serving several terms as student council representative and she was editor of the school yearbook For the past five years she has Thomson at Milton By Wendy Hospital and as well she August 25th wedding arrived has been Wilson Milton Is the recipient of the Halton District Womens Institute bursary She Is a grade 13 graduate of White Oaks Secondary School where she took part In the school musical production and played Dally Mm Acton Free Wednesday September Fair ladies plan Bursary for being candystriper This summer she has been employed driving a delivery van lor a Milton firm but she Is enrolled in an honour Arts program at the University of Guelph and is looking forward to commencing her studies in September The bursary committee stated proud to have three such worthy winners though all the applicants were of a particularly high calibre and are to be con gratulated on their wonderful and varied accomplishments thus far It has been a very rewarding experience to become better acquainted with the winners and share their excitement enthusiasm and capability as they look forward to continuing their education In their chosen fields It Is also worthy of note that each of the girls mothers here mentioned has
