realistic about where the money Is coming from Bill Yundt has been a pharmacist here for the past six and a half years and this Is his first time to try for elected office He curled but this year is taking bridge lessons instead Business experience I think I have a contribution I can make because of my business experience Mr says Of course one of his main concerns would be the downtown redevelopment He Is well aware of the problems of the business men In town Acton Is breaking loose he observes with new houses and apartments and annexation coming And now Is the time to establish a good basis for the future Personal way Coming from Toronto he cherishes the personal way things are done In Acton and he wouldnt like the town to become too urbanized The nice friendly community spirit has always to him and ho wants to retain Its character Acton Is one of the last com munities this close to Metro that isn loo caught up In the wheels of progress he says Tho way the town grows now is Important He favors Improvements the present council has underway such as Church St reconstruction to parallel Bower Ave s Improvements groups and more activities for the young people Ho thinks his business experience would be of benefit in seeing that the money at councils disposal is spent ef ficiently to gel the best value for our dollars I have the interests of everybody at heart Advertise tax plan Township Intends to place advertisements In local newspapers drawing attention to the provisions of the Ontario Property Tax Credit Plan This newly created plan allows property owners to deduct a portion of their property taxes from heir income tax If property taxesare not In arrears At he urging of Clerk Earl Cuddlewho mentioned farm and residential taxes arc due by Dec Council agreed to place the advertisements during a meeting last week Regional government hydro issues MAPLE AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH Maple Ave Pastor Rev Robert C Loboea SUNDAY DECEMBER 3 Here Is our sincere Invitation to the whole family to attend church Sunday School All age Morning Service 7 pn Evening Evangel Georgetown Dear Sir Dec 4th Is In my opinion one of the most important dates in the histories of local municipalities The successful candidates as incumbents will be In prime positions to compete to stand as candidates to represent you and I in regional government I attended an all candidates meeting in Nossagaweya and have closely watched issues in other local municipalities and In my opinion the two most devastating Issues are regional government and the proposed hydro line What surprises me Is the fact that regional and the hydro line are the brain children of the Conservative government at Queens Pork and the people who openly and not so openly supported the Goverment during the last Provincial election dare to run for office at municipal lccl dial rigiuuil government will mean at least a thirty per cent Increase in taxes and a hydro line that will carve up farm acreage and create havoc In Its path I would Just love to hear one candidate say To hell with Regional Government and Queen s Park I am sure his or her voice would be heard and a movement would start that would force Queens Park to change its mind A Johnson Gordon Gregson replies to fetter BETHEl CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH and Hwy 7 SUNDAY DECEMBER Sunday Worship Services at 1000 and Sunday School
