The Acton Free Press Wednesday January Close look at Africa By Janice Gibson last Friday we had an entirely different view of Africa than the usual television broadcast provides Bob Batman a suc cessful artist teacher and naturalist gave us a close look at Africa Mr Bateman related to us some of his experiences with the wildlife that lived in and around his house These ranged from ants to pythons We saw slides of monkeys so small two of them fit into a Campbell soup can a bird so weird he belongs in a car toon and an invasion of ants from floor level view Mare detail Mr attended our mini school last year and gave us an overall account of his ad ventures then Friday though got into a lot more detail and was really interesting 1 must say I admire Mrs for her courage I am sure many of us would scream with horror at what she had to put up with during her stay in Africa It was thoroughly enjoyable and 1 hope Mr will return again this year for our mini school Notes from Acton High
