Estimated in North Halton eligible to vote October 1st When the estimated voters in the new town of North Halton go to the polls to elect their first council and mayor on October there will be several selections on the ballots Voters in all four wards will be asked lo pick a mayor from a number of candidates and then to select a regional councillor and two other councillors in each ward as well as a trustee for the board of education Wards one and two Acton and will elect a trustee in common while wards three and four Georgetown will elect another trustee Also on the ballot will be the question of a name for the new town which will be called North until voters decide on their choice of a name There likely will be three choices selected for the ballot by the committee composed of coun cillors
