children do during the March break Over the past week of either cold or wet weather youths of Acton were offered longer skating time and swimming at the Lions pool Georgetown held pro grams for area youths but other than these no special programs or activities were offered by the regional municipality John Toebes or Main Street said he fooled crowd playing road hockey and began preparing for riding his bike around and swimming at the Acton pool There are enough activities and he was not bored He is looking forward to soccer in the summer months and was glad that there was a lack of snow so bike riding was easier David Bell of Elmore did some reading and played hockey He there were enough facilities in town but would like to sec a theatre here He goes to or Brampton to take in movies Venturers who were camping out there and some from the Hamilton groups but they did not find us We all finally met up not far from the cars After supper that certainly called for a little talk about orienteering Following this John gave the boys a demonstration on fire lighting without matches The Scouts then enjoyed a few games and some more films After a singsong and mug up the boys had a chance to beat up the leaders but they were not successful Saturday the Scouts worked on their personal fitness badges The ended about three clock as the tired boys trudged home The nights do get very short at camps but nevertheless the Scouts had a great lime and were given a lot of training for summer camping Everyone is reminded to bring in their logs of the to tomorrow meeting The draw for the their leaders parent volunteer Mrs Naomi and three Scouts travelled From by Go Train to visit Toronto After a tour of Union Station where the highlight was close up view of the Turbo they visited the Toronto Dominion Center and the Museum Returning by subway to union station they boarded the Go Train for the return journey to Georgetown For many travelling by Go Train and subway was anew experience and added to the fun and excitement of the day outing Mrs Elizabeth Mrs Pal and Rick were invested as leaders In First Ac Ion Cub Back on March by Gordon District Cam of North District Each
