8 The Acton Free Press Wed January 21 Baby sitting course over The first Babysitter Train Course at the Acton has been successfully completed Instructors Ann Carr and Gloria Coats spent eight Sat morning sessions with the boys and girls The graduates attended a ceremony on Saturday morn January 17th at the home of Mrs Carr They v ere presented v ith dip lomas as well as certificates Proud parents and two Guide leaders Jean Vaughnn and Helen Roue were also in attendance Everyone was served tea It was an enjoyable gathering which again shows how the is helpful in the community community Four Girl Guides Christine Allen and Karen Stcckley of the First company and Patricia Henry and Donna of the Second Acton Company took the course and as a result will receive their child care badges The course included six hours of actual baby sitting and at one session a real baby was the guest Next fall the Y hopes to offer this course once again Two principals at WI meeting Elect ladies fair
