Riders open season with ride barbecue The Acton Free Press Wed May 7 by Jennifer Ban- A trail ride a barbeque and an miction served lo herald spring for the Trail Riders who held an equestrian meet to pass on knowledge to the Guides We had splendid hike on Easier Monday and many girls earned their Hiker Outdoor Adventure badges We walked five miles in all with lunch cooked down by the River on tiny portable stoves made from tobacco tins saved for us by our District Commissioner which can be carried in the pocket complete with solid fuel and matches The weather was so warm that a splash in
