operating costs through municipal taxes These services included general government public health grants to hospitals social and family services manor children s aid museum and public works County Roads All these services have been carried on under Regional Government and Bill 151 added regional police water sewers waste disposal and regional planning department The functions provided under Council system were needed and accepted by the majority of residents although costs for public services were constantly rising All towns except Acton had a local police force and we had been told that
