these people I had fort for so long been in contact with but only through correspondence And what a richly rewarding evening I had After six years I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Dorothy Clark a lovely lady completely confined lo a wheel chair for many years but whose talents and endless efforts as treasurer of the board are unlimited Such a determined and hard working individual I have never met I mention Dorothy mainly because she has been my closest and most frequent personal contact throughout my years as community chairman but on Oct had the pleasure of meeting so many of those dedicated individuals who either hold an office in the administrative end of the organization o- like myself represent a district I might make mention here that Honorary Provincial Chairman is none other that Darryl Sittlerlwho unfortunately didn t attend the meeting As a summary of monies raised was distributed to everyone I was very pleased to sec that Wellington Count ran third in their total fund raising efforts Special mention was made of the great contribution our village had made to the 1976 campaign Of the whole of Wellington County ran third in its fund raising and was topped by only Guclph and On a personal basis our village acclaimed overall greatest improvement percentagewise over the Wellington County Campaign After the fund raising dance at the Town Hall on Oct a year total of was turned over to the secretary 1W5 was but unfortunately money from the dance was too late lo be added into this years contributions in the minutes at at the meeting But you can bet was a proud little lady to be representing a village such as Rock wood whose contributions rang bells for their efforts I am humbly grateful for the support 1 have received from all my friends during campaign affliction working as an insurance salesman and for the last 15 years has operated his own insurance office He couldnt stress enough the fact that despite preconceived thoughts of the public handi
