of tors of Acton Agricultural Society held their annual dinner and dance last Friday ft Davidson and his wife were the guests of honor at the head table for the event in hall Praise was heaped on Bert by fellow director Nino Braida and then Bert delighted the crowd by res ponding in a humorous and touching way He was presented with a speciallyengraved clock Mrs Davidson was given a bouquet of big red roses by Miss Acton Fair Charmaine years Bert Davidson has been Involved with the staging of Acton fair for the past years and he has been on the hall committee since 1946 He was accepting his third honor in the past two weeks He had just been reelected president of Acton Golden Age club and the week before was named president of the zone at the senior citizens rally in Milton Foundation Week marked by Rotarians issue Acton hosted the district meet of Foundation Committee it their regul to acknowledge Rotary Found tion Week Nov 14 lo Clubs represented were Toronto Streets ille perpetuate Acton fair and raise its standards than any one else on the board he said We all know him and respect him He has energy and the courage to go another mile for our fair He gets a real satisfaction from serving others and he will be remem be red for his many kind nesses and his love for our community We need his experience and guidance I can Imagine a fair without him Mr declared Brian Evans was chairman for the program First vicepresident Brent Marshall introduced special guests Mr and Mrs Lloyd S pence of Milton fair coun cillor and Mrs Alan Burnett of Eramosa council regional and Mrs Pat McKcnzie and area coun Russell Miller Top calf club member David Lasby was introduced He the fourth in the family closely involved with programs Brother Bob and sister Cathy are
