mushroomed into a complete home and school event and raised over for students of Robert Little school Teachers Ron Turner and Doug had thought of having an auction sale to raise money for field trips Once they voiced their thoughts they found every one wanted to get into the act Thus began one of the major fund raising events of this year for the school Students of all grades brought articles from home which could be sold and some brand new items were donated by local merchants and businessmen Auctioneer Max Storey donated his time and con ducted the sale which saw everything from a brand new dress to electric curlers to talkies to a bird cage stand and giant stuffed animals sold The school gym was jammed with bidders not many of whom went home empty handed Prior to the auction sale there was a bake and rum mage sale Items here also sold quickly A refreshment stand with pop and hot dogs also did a thriving business In another part of the school There were two draws held for two dolls Student Linda won one doll with Mrs a grand mother of another student of Maria St winning the second prize Teacher Mrs Kathy Sanford told the Free Press the teachers and students were very pleased with the event She emphasized the evening was a complete school effort and was well supported by the students and parents Speaking contest Steve and Adele second third TwoM Z spoke on a United Canada and separatism Principal Doug Magwood is very proud of both dents He explained that because it was the finals only the very best speakers were present Steve and Adele don need
