Field day lb ISifftrnbirli By John Bottomley Does Geneva Conference apply to indoor lacrosse The Rams played an awfully silly lacrosse game last Thursday in the arena The team counted minutes in penalties the both of which they lost It is not surprising that they did lose Twenty three of the goals scored against them were power play goals The team has some goalies Graham Harrison in particu tar but they cant do the job if there is nobody to help them was not much help to his own cause coming out of the crease swinging on Thursday against his old teammates the Merchants There is a difference between aggressive hard lacrosse good and what the Rams were doing bad A clean check will usually Lake a man out while a slash will us get you thrown into the penalty box for your efforts That sort of play doesnt do a whole lot to help a team The two best players on the floor Thursday I thought were George Artem and Steve Wilson Between them accounted for a whopping four minutes in penalties ing five goals and notching up six assists in the course of the game Manager Ian Campbell remarked after the game that he hopes the team settles down The Merchants were a team the Rams expected to beat and when Ihcy 15 Players are optimistic that things will pull together and they are probably right There are only a few players on the team taking all the penalties but they are doing plenty of damage now All that needed as Campbell says is some discipline Ron Turkosz soys give us four more games He ex the team to be winning then and with a minimum of luck They just started working
