WELLINGTONDUFFERINPEEL About David Wright David Wright the Liberal cand dote in Wellington Duffenn Peel is a year old self employed businessman who first entered the public limelight four years ago when he formed and led the Erin and Erin Township Concerned Citizens Association to oppose the opening of two major gravel pits near Erin Village The same motivation led him to seek the nomination as Liberal in this provincial elect on More and more he said big business and government are imposing their wishes over and against tho wishes of the individuals the so called ordinary citizens of Ontario David Wright is a former employee of Bell Canada where he was also union chairman of a district involving salesmen in Ontario and Quebec Ten years ago he left Bell to form his own consultant company telecommunications Wright is immediate past chairman of the Erin United Church board of directors and a past president of Erin Minor Softball and the Erin Square Dancing Club Heand his threechildrenliveat R 1 When you go to the polls on June vote for a man who in keeping with the Liberal Party in Ontaro will speak out for the rights of the in dividual Cast your vote for Dav Wright Heres what David Wright says about the issues in this election Unemployment The L Party has promised to create 100 new by offering incentives to small businessmen over a three year period These are not government jobs are jobs in the private sector which once established tend to be permanent jobs They are productive jobs not only enriching the em and the economy and produc ng income tax but also alloviat the dram on unemployment insurance payments Agriculture The Conservatives and have made an issue of the rural land market basically saying wo must freeze farmland to save from being gobbled up by developers Wo in Liberal Party say Save the farmers and you II save farmland If farming is made profitable for the farmer he II not only hang onto his farm and farm it but his sons and daughters will want to continue farming when ho retires I plead with you not to elect a government that puts land and grand designs ahead of people s rights Government Spending Once again we see a double standard Inflation Board completely supported by province of Ontario has set limits on how much of us can earn Generally we have limited to an eight per cent increase in our in comes But not tho government Witness Hydro rates up 30 per cent tuition fees to bo increased 35 per cent O H I P premiums up 45 per cent A Liberal government would hold government spending to the limits set for all of us individuals and government departments and agencies Regional Government This is no old horse Tho Conservatives are committed to introducing more regional government The restraint shown in the past year is due only to the fact that they did not have a majority in the legislature So much for local autonomy And taxes Did know that since taxes of home owners put under regional government have gone up 105 per cent while in non regionalized areas except Toronto they have gone up per cent And what have the people in the new regions got to show for their increased taxes except a new level of government to deal with and several posh new regional municipal Ability to Govern No deity has granted tho Conservative Party eternal rights to leadership talent to govern Ontario Look around The Liberal Party both in its sitting members and its new candidates has superbly qualified proven men and women quite able to manage tho ministries of this province Not only that but they are commited to a philosophy that puts people ahead of systems and government machinery The Election in Wellington- DufferinPeel Last election 60 per cent of the voters in this riding voted against the government pi Bill Davis The Conservatives got 100 votes the Liberals 11 398 a difference of only votes and the 6 313 It sup to you Do you want to vote in protest or do you want to change the government sincerely ask for your vote at the polls June Elect a Liberal government and let sweep the cobwebs out of Queen s Patk and get on with building an Ontario that is for the people DAVID WRIGHT Liberal X published by Interested In Wellington Peel who ore concerned about good government In Ontario
