B4 The Acton Free Press Wednesday Oct Scout and Guide news The Acton Scout troop held their fourth annual Oktobeifest camp last weekend In spite of the terrible weather Friday although cool was an enjoy able evening we awoke Saturday morning to the beat of rain on the can vas We returned to the Scout hall Saturday afternoon where we ran various indoor activities Including a course Sunday afternoon we returned to camp where the remainder of the wet gear Acton High School is back in operation with many changes The beautiful new building on Cedar Road is a big improvement over the old high school The staff is basically the same with the exception of three ladies run ning the cafeteria and Evan Macdonald and Murray from the auto and wood working department Acton High is a little behind in getting started this year I will be replacing Jennifer in the writing of the Acton High column The school year of started with many different types of activities taking place On Friday September Acton High held their first dance of the school year It was sponsored by the Student tion and turned out to be a big success The travel club has been put into action The trips which will
